This page is about how to setup the SWEETDREAMS LOCKDOWN TOURNAMENT (over 20 boards)

Captains, or designated other, setup your Team Match on BBO under:
Competitive/Team Matches/Create Team Match
The format that appears has three sections. Don't press Create Team Match button at the bottom until you have visited them all.
Create Team Match

*Identification lets you name the Tournament and Teams.
*Options includes setting the number of boards (default is 8), change it to 10 (see below)
*Reserve Seats lets you define your team members, if you don't do this strangers will jump in.
*Enter the four names of each team member, take a written note as to where players are seated and in particular, the orientation of the names of the players of the second team you enter as regards who is North/South East/West (See below)
***Everybody must be online when you press the Create button, then they get the invitation to join.
Each table is playing the same set of boards simultaneously. History tab will show an ongoing IMPS comparison, and how the other team played a board as soon as both have played it. Once all boards are played you see the final result.
NB it does not swap the pairs around automatically, which makes it very similar to a normal BBO game.
So to replicate a team event such as Ruff Diamonds organised, you set up another completely new match with a further 10 boards and again record that score at the end.
Enter the first team exactly as you did before, everybody must sit in the same seats for the first 10 boards, but when you enter the second team, you must change the orientation, so, that whoever played North/South becomes East/West and vice versa.
One word of caution, if you intend to play the match in the evening, 19:00-21:00, it may be difficult to set up the second half of the match on BBO. You can of course play 10 boards one day, and 10 boards on another day.
*Finally, with the combined total of IMPs, you convert them to Victory Points, using the table on the SDTournaments website. It differs from the Ruff Diamonds version due to the additional number of boards that are played.
*Both Captains please send the match results to John Hughes. johnhohughes@gmail.com
